Fred and Wilma Flintstone' were arrested today as they approached the European Parliament to protest over the influence of the car industry on proposals to curb carbon dioxide emissions from cars.
Six Greenpeace activists dressed as cavemen and travelling in a Flintstones-style vehicle were detained along with three others for public order offences.
A stone tablet accusing car lobbyists of driving climate change was confiscated before it could be delivered to lawmakers, a Greenpeace spokeswoman said.

In Brussels having a sense of humour would be a very serious public order offence
I have been in Brussels a few times (and I really like the city) but unfortunately as I do not know the difference between Civil Law (operated in most of the world) versus common law as operated in the Anglo world I don't really know what is the minimum you need to do to commit a public order offence. As far as I know disrupting a government meeting would be a public order offence as would blocking the public highway or a public right of way.

Hi informatique, great story. Just one little piece of advice. Your post would also benefit from the addition of your own comments and perspective, both to personalize it and to provide further context. Thanks for your attention!
