The Florida panhandle is under tornado watch today until 3pm local time. Meanwhile, the area is already under flood-watch.

Some areas in the flood watch zone have already received between 2 to 5 inches of rain over the past two days, according to the weather service. Forecasts predict another 3 to 6 inches through Friday morning.

Gainesville received 1.19 inches of rain Wednesday, according to weather service records.
