I hike around the Coos Bay Area from time to time.  This day, I was hiking with my dog Joanna in the Charleston area.  I came across a small patch of extraordinary Fungi/mushroom type on the side of the trail.  I have never seen it before, did not see ANY later.  Looks just like coral under the sea but it was not.  Super delicate and the color is Brilliant! I would appreciate hearing from Professionals who know the proper names of mushrooms to tell me what the coral looking one is.

I have no idea what the real name is but I am calling these Coral Fungi!

The other pics are just your normal see everyday kinds.  But still beautiful.

If you visit this area, go to the Interpretive site near charleston.  Just 15 minutes from Coos Bay off Hwy 101.

It could be a form of Hyphae of a wood-decaying fungus. I am not certain though.

I just added a picture of a red coral fungi, and I do not think that the picture meant is a red coral fungi, then again it could be a variant that I am not aware of.

Name has been found.  It is a rare find for me.  Thanks for all your comments.

You could always take a sample to a University lab and find out. With map and photo, they be more then interested and then you could post it here on NP with a proper Post.
