Authorities in the Philippines say they've caught what could be the world's largest crocodile.

A giant 21-foot crocodile was captured in Bunawan located in the Agusan del Sur province.

It appears that the giant crocodile is the largest in captivity. According to the Guinness World Records, the current record-holder at 18-feet-long.

Locals have named him Lolong, which means "grandfather" in Tagalog.

The crocodile was not captured for sport. It was a menace to the community. The giant croc is believed to have killed a local farmer farmer and a 12-year-old girl.
