The Global Warming Bill may not be drafted until September as the chamber is already struggling to create the mammoth Health Care Reform Bill.

Susan Ferrechio the Chief Congressional Correspondent with the Washington Examiner wrote:

Part of the problem for Democrats is the push by some to include in the climate bill a cap and trade proposal that would require polluters to buy and trade costly permits. Such a bill passed narrowly in the House last month. But many Senate Democrats are opposed to cap and trade which guarantees Boxer would have a difficult time writing a bill that would pass the Senate.
But Boxer said she is delaying action because many of the lawmakers needed to negotiate a climate bill are tied up in the health care debate, including Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., who is working around the clock to come up with a bipartisan health care bill.
Baucus called the decision to delay the climate bill "wise."

An observer commented:

This made Queen Pelosi over in the House frown since she had made a promise to 0bama. Yeah, I know you couldn't tell. Let them try and pull this steaming pile out of their hats later when it becomes apparent that the ''stimulus'' packages are hogwash and that this would stall the economy even more in a big way.

The delay should give more time for both sides to consider the full cost of such a bill to the economy.

See the results on climate change from the G8 in Italy last night. A farce, only is agreed that world temperature should not rise above 2ºC additionally. India and China don't want to cooperate because in their opinion it is caused by the industrialized west, consequently not their problem. All short sighted, but they didn't want to send Obama home without some of an agreement reached! It's laughing but very sad and worrisome indeed!

We need to be aware that not all scientists agree on the global warming issue and rushing in to try and fix it before it can be properly researched and debated may cost us all dearly.

QUOTE:

‘The hypothesis that human activity can create global warming is extraordinary because it is contrary to validated knowledge from solar physics, astronomy, history, archaeology and geology,’ says Professor Ian Plimer, and while his thesis is not new, you’re unlikely to have heard it expressed with quite such vigor, certitude or wide-ranging scientific authority.

Where fellow sceptics like Bjorn Lomborg or Lord Lawson of Blaby are prepared cautiously to endorse the International Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) more modest predictions, Plimer will cede no ground whatsoever. Anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory, he argues, is the biggest, most dangerous and ruinously expensive con trick in history.

END QUOTE

I say we should carefully consider both sides of the issue and not blindly listen to what is told to us via the mainstream media and governments, who generally cannot be trusted with even basic issues like infrastructure planning and running hospitals, let alone saving the planet.

Remember, fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

Let's slow down and take time to really consider this climate issue carefully.

Of course the global warming issue carries a lot of hype. Many scientist don't agree with the general approach and arguments. And they are right too. Climate change in this devided world is an utopia and never ever will be reached in our live time. Too many have entirley different interests and it is seen from the G8 and will be noticed in December next when the Copenhagen summit on climate takes place. Kyoto not even has materialized. Look for simple solutions and start with nuclear energy that is the less worse alternative, creates cheap energy, environmental much friendlier no CO2 and N2O gas emissions, keeps the money in US pockets, doesn't subsidize terrorist and creates millions of jobs. Scientist will be able to find the solution for the much less in volume but severe nuclear waste in time.
