Global Warming: Fact or Fiction

The jury is still out on Global warming. The differences in opinion across the Scientific community are so vast. Who do you believe. Many Scientists on both sides of the argument disagree. For Every fact a proponent has there is another  on the opposite side to oppose it.  The Nay sayers have their own sets of facts that they refer to. The proponents theirs. Who is right. Neither I contend. Who really knows, No One yet ! There are skeptics and Scholars on both sides, along with those who demonstrate No concern whatsoever. It may be a Man made issue, I hope not. I tend to lean toward the Natural course of a Planets existence, I Pray.

In my opinion the Earth has been thru 100's and probably 1000's of Ice Ages over the Millions of years. And as recently as a few hundred years ago. How severe and how long they last is the question. Science is discovering  new facts on a daily basis. Will this be a short one ? Or could this be the Last one ? (I doubt it) They have caused mass Extinction's of Multiple Species, From Dinosaurs to possible human life. To think that this one will be the last is foolish. It could be the the last one that the Human race gets to experience.  Planet Earth will be here much longer than any of us. It was here before Man and it will probably exist well past our Existance.

We can only put our Faith in God and Hope for the best. Yes, We may make a difference in how We take care of our planet and its resources, to make it as good a place as possible to exist for as long as possible for generations to come. While we may be Stewards of this great planet, Stewards at most is what we are, We do not control Nature, Nor time. If it is aNatural occurance it will happen anyway. But to think that we can avoid a Natural occurance, that has ravaged this planet since its existance, is putting way to much faith in how much We as a people can actually affect The Weather.

Can we Plant 2 Trees for every one that we cut down, Yes. Can we Regulate How much Tuna can be caught each Year, Yes. Can we make our cars more Fuel efficient and look for alternative fuels and Energy sources, Of course. That is the way of the civilized world, most of us anyway. But we have No control over the Wasteful, Careless, Non caring individuals who WASTE, As much as we cannot control Nature and the Natural course of Our existence. Who knows how long this Great Planet Earth will remain as we know it. Inhabitable by Humans. Warm enough or cold enough for different forms of life to flourish or Disappear. We are not Gods, At best we are Good Stewards, we can Try to make a difference, For the better of all Mankind. But to say we can Stop nature and its effects on the Earth are FOR NOT.
