the only remains left from a golden eagle predating a Vancouver Island black-tailed deer fawn. this was situated on an old log about 100 m from the golden eagles tree nest. at the top of the picture you can see a shot of bird excrement( which there were two of), so I am very certain it was the golden eagles prey. at the bottom the nest there were also bones from what looked like an adult deers' leg. pure white bones so they were from another year
