Grand Ole Opry House, Opryland Hotel Flooding Pictures Show Extent of Damage
As Nashville was deluged by floodwater, the Grand Ole Opry was flooded, as was the Opryland Hotel. The Grand Ole Opry is a major focal point in the country music scene. The rain has stopped, but the Grand Ole Opry is closed, with this week's Grand Ole Opry shows moved to other venues.
The Grand Ole Opry is a weekly country music concert that's broadcast over the radio on WSM-AM.

Although the extent of the damage to the Grand Ole Opry House has not been revealed, it was sufficient enough to move the Tuesday Night Opry to the War Memorial Auditorium in downtown Nashville. This weekend's Opry performances will move to the Ryman Auditorium, and Thursday's Opry Country Classics show will remain at the Ryman as previously scheduled. The War Memorial Auditorium and the Ryman are former homes of the Opry.

Very sad. I used to live in Nashville and I see streets where I used to walk covered with water.

I lived in East Nashville for 3 years with my husband and 2 children at that time, Everyday we went out walking downtown just to get the kids out and listen to the music playing and enjoy the scenery around us. We always kept busy and spent some wonderful times in Nashville. I send all our prayers out to the many families that are dealing with this. All my hopes

I am so sad to see music city buried under water. I love Nashville like my second home and am so very sad that all this has happend. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been effected by these floods. I wish there was more we could do here from Canada.
