Environmental group Greenpeace stopped several palm oil shipments from leaving Indonesia on Monday, calling for an end to forests and peatlands being destroyed to make way for plantations. The ships were about to leave from Dumai, Indonesia's main oil export port, to Europe.

hoorah

I've been seeing more and more stories like this lately and it makes me happy =)

CEMEX here likes to burn tires and make the surrounding area gross but one woman and her environmental coalition group were able to put a MAJOR dent in their operations this past week and managed to stop the tire burning for now. That also makes me happy.
