Greenpeace UK Rebranding BP After Oil Spill
'Behind the Logo': Greenpeace UK Launches BP Oil Spill Rebranding Contest
In the wake of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, Greenpeace UK has ramped up "Behind the Logo", its rebrand-BP competition, which originally began as a protest against BP's Alberta tar sands project. Greenpeace argues that, despite its "Beyond Petroleum" brand, BP remains primarily a petroleum company, and its logo should reflect that truth.
Over 450 logo remixes have been added as of this writing.

Greenpeace UK's Flickr group is now chock-full of remixed BP logos in the "Behind the Logo" photoset. Some are riffs on the original with a few oil motifs thrown in, while others are more elaborate.
From Greenpeace to Goatse
It was only a matter of time before someone out there in Internet-land noticed the BP logo's resemblance to goatse; that one's as gross as it sounds.

We need ideas for oil cleanup, not slogans.

Greenpeace is a wonderful organization. They always have all the answers free from any investment or responsibility. Greenpeace attacks BP as if this wasn't an accident and BP created this oil spill on purpose. Therefore BP ought to have an immediate and workable solution. Since BP[or anyone else including Greenpeace] doesn't have an immediate and instant solution, and what they have tried has failed, then Greenpeace feels free to slander and mock BP. How can you loose with that type of circular thinking?
Greenpeace reminds me of those Nun's who used to rap left-handed children on the knuckles for not being born right-handed. Obviously they were just being stubborn children who could, and immediately, adjust to their demands.
When Greenpeace is done with BP they will be driving or flying or shipping off to the next target of their environmental angst of the moment. Thanks in part to BP.
