In the riverside habitation, the boatmen paints the boats with their hands. They use tar to make it waterproof and enhance the longevity. The primary livelihood of these people is trading on sand and stones. They dive into the deep waters and pick up heavy stones and bring up using a rope pulled out by someone from the boat. Also they gather the river bed large grain red sand and fill up the boats to transport to the reserve.
