NP Rank:
Hazardous Waste Found Near the Playground

As I was walking the dog the other day, I found this discarded motor oil plastic bottle. Motor oil is considered a hazardous waste. The container was near a creek in our neighborhood where I found mating frogs, eggs and tadpoles last spring. If any oil were left inside the bottle, it would be fatal to the frogs and other wildlife in the creek.
Most municipalities have places to take hazardous household wastes as paint and oil. Please dispose of these properly.

Best is to report it to the proper authorities, pick up the waste and dispose it as required by the laws and regulation, leaving it, causes only more harm.
Thank you for the Post.

Hi Barbara. Thanks for posting. It'd help members, and other interested parties, out if you let them know the location of this waste - which playground are you talking about, where in Nashville (I assume)? Many thanks
