Highlight of the Day: Thanksgiving.

We held a Thanksgiving lunch in my house with all my relatives. Though the food was good (naturally, since I made most of it), I was honestly bored out of my bloody fucking mind. Tired from the night before, I tried to keep myself awake by entertaining my cousins. Of course, my parents, aunts, and uncles took over the living room singing old, light-rock karaoke songs, and my cousins didn't want to do anything except text their friends on their cellphones or play around Oliver's laptop. I've noticed this is an ongoing pattern every time our family meets, and without any place open to go to, a Playstation, or even a board game that interests them, I'm clueless how to make my younger cousins have more fun. If only they'd get drunk in front of their parents... :D

Still, the art of conversation isn't lost on them. It was nice to talk about manga, prospective post-college plans, and their fake girlfriends. Next time (prolly Christmas) I'm going to plan something actively fun.

So what am I thankful for? Flickr and Tumblr, of course. Maybe family and my dog, too. Whatever.
