I am from Parkersburg WV where C8 has assaulted an entire community!! The EPA should have to answer for their lack of protection of one of the most important waterways in America and the people that have been sickened by it.
In West Virginia, you can expect two things injury and insult. Oh, and tort reform!!
There are no civil rights or justice and no satisfaction in the court system. The only bright spot is that we are affected little by the recent economic crisis because we are mostly impoverished anyway and where does all of that lotto and coal money go to??
We are being bought out literally by the people fleeing from New York and New Jersey to force our people out of family owned properties and our kids have nowhere to go but out of state because our jobs went out of country.
We are a poor state surrounded by five wealthy states...it's no wonder that we look like we are poor....we are!! How did we mange to get so poor with a Senate Majority Leader that has the longest run at it of all times?? With supplying the nation with electricity?
How did the poorest state end up with the worst business climate in America and the poorest health system??? Mismanagement and theft!
Ou only claim to fame is that our President could hide in the dark closet that we call West Virginia if there is a national crisis and we are not paying attention to the fact that Sugar Creek is hiding our spy equipment. Give us a break!! We are not your treehouse and we are not dispensable as a people!! Fix our water, our economy, our health and our third world government!!

The C8 that I am referring to is what has been acknowledged to have been dumped into the Ohio River from Dupon'ts Washington Works plant. The EPA has already conducted their investigation and their is an ongoing health project known as "The C8 project".
Parkersburg News And Sentinel has reported on the ongoing court proceedings and Dupont has already been ordered by the EPA to clean up the amount of C-8 in the local water systems. Parkersburg News and Sentinel has been publishing the reports of updated statistics of the inordinately high percentage of cancer amoungst local residents. One of the leading cases was Leach vs. Dupont where their cattle died. Their have been birth defects linked to this tragedy. There is a local law firm which is handling the class action suit which is pending and they have information as well as "The C-8 Project". Also,"Brookmar" who was the company who conducted the original 70,000+ blood tests on local residents.
As far as "the longest Senate Majority Leader", I am referring to Robert Byrd who is still a state senator in West Viginia.
Regarding our impoverished State. Any census will clarify this for you. Compare our per capita income to that of Ohio, Maryland, Pennsyvania, Virginia or Kentucky and I believe that you will see the disparity that I had mentioned.
Regarding Sugar Creek, West Virginia and our "spy satellites", this should also be available online as well as our famous Greenbrar Resort which has had a "bunker" for many years on case of national emergencies.
I am expressing an educated opinion based on facts and verifiable items in local and state newspapers, as well as, online. The only item that cannot be easily verified would be our influx of out-of-state retirees. I am sure that there must be a housing trend evaluation out there somewhere that can verify this fact. I am going mainly on people that I meet lately, in the local retail establishments and they seem to be coming from the Northeast.
