How Can I Help Japan? Donate To 2011 Tsunami-Earthquake Relief
A Huge Earthquake and Tsunami Has Hit Japan. How Can You Help Japan?
As the Japan earthquake and tsunami death toll continues to mount, many people are asking the simple question, 'How can I help Japan?' While Japan is a more financially developed than earthquake-stricken nation like Haiti, that doesn't mean that they can't use a hand.
Here are some ways for people to donate to Japan.
Perhaps the easiest way is to donate to the Red Cross. You can give to Japan by going to redcross.org or text “Red Cross” to 90999. If you text in, $10 will be automatically charged to your phone bill as a donation.
You can also make a Japan tsunami donation to globalgiving.org.
Americares is also helping with Japan tsuami relief.
Also check out Medicines sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders).
As always, it's important to do your due diligence before making a donation to any organization.

Caution, the number to send money to the red cross is NOT 90999. I don't know who got my text or if they're taking my money, but the correct information is 30333 and the amount is $5, not $10.
Please go directly to redcross.org for better information.
