How to decrease your carbon foot print
Written for Now Public and copied to Hypo Global
Slowly but surely, the people of Planet Earth are becoming conscious of the concept "Carbon Footprint" and gradually we are collectively waking up to the reality that we can actually manage our individual impact on the earth. It does however take big picture thinking to be able to do this and fully integrated conscioussness.
How does one even start? I hear you say. Well just by looking at some established facts, we can begin to learn what to do and make a difference...
For example did you know that...
• If one million people washed their clothes in cold water instead of hot we could collectively eliminate 250.000 tons of CO2 per year and keep our clothes looking brighter?
• If one million drivers stayed parked for just one day, 20.000 tons of CO2 emissions could potentially be eliminated?
• If one million people reduced their trash by 10% collectively we could keep 600.000 tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere per year?
• If one million people switched to locally produced food for a year it would actually eliminate up to 625.000 tons of CO2.
• If one million people recycled their metal, plastic, glass and newspapers, CO2 emissions would be reduced by 211.000 tons.
• If for example in the US, every American lost one pound, we’d save 39 million gallons of fuel per year?
• If one million households changed 4 light bulbs each to the low energy variety, 900.000 tons of green house gases would be eliminated.
• Consider changing your T.V to LCDs: as they use about half the power of plasmas TVs at about 100 watts, an old school -27’’ CRT even less.
• If every U.S home alone receive and paid its bills online, annual greenhouse-gas would drop by 2.1 million tons. Similar results would be true for Europe.
• If one million people convinced their friends of these issues and those such friends convinced one million other friends and that million convinced another million friends it would have a massive impact!
So you can do something about your carbon footprint!

Hypo Global should first read Global Warming man made fraud before spreading such articles. It's proof not to be fully informed. One sided at least. Come back when a complete picture about CO2 has been gathered.
