As you may have heard by now, an asteroid will pass by earth on June 27, 2011.
The asteroid 2011 MD will pass by at around 1 pm eastern time.
How Can I Watch the Asteroid 2011 MD Pass By?
In theory, a telescope that's 8 inches or larger should do the trick if you're living in certain parts of the southern hemisphere. Asteroid 2011 MD's passing will be viewable from South Africa and parts of Antarctica. Asteroid 2011 MD's approach can be seen in Australia, New Zealand, southern and eastern Asia, and the western Pacific.
How Else Can I Watch Asteroid 2011 MD Pass By?
You can use the Southern Stars' SkySafari 3 Plus or Pro app on iOS.
Once the asteroid passes, there will no doubt be plenty of Asteroid MD 2011 YouTube video.
