Humanitarian Day at COP15

At a roundtable held by the Politiken newspaper in Copenhagen, humanitarian leaders joined youth from around the world to discuss solutions to the challenges of climate change. Bekele Geleta, Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, spoke of the challenges facing the Red Cross Red Crescent as Ulla Tørnæs, Minister for Development Cooperation in Denmark (left), and Marinus Van Es (right) looked on. This event was held on Humanitarian Day, where a coalition of humanitarian actors, including NGOs, IGOs, the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and UN family joined forces to raise awareness and call for action.
