Hurricane Bill has been downgraded to a Category One storm by the National Hurricane Center, where it was previously a category two. There is still a tropical storm warning in effect however for parts of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and the southern part of Newfoundland.
A tropical storm warning is also in effect for the coast of Massachusetts, including the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
Hurricane Bill is still sustaining winds of about 85 miles per hour and is currently about 300 miles south to southeast of Nantucket and about 585 miles south to southwest of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
If it stays on its current path, it should just miss the northeastern coast of the United States and perhaps touch the eastern Canadian coast on Sunday. However, by later Sunday it is expected to be weakening further.

It's noontime, and just west of Halifax, NS....only a bit of rain and wind, and power still on. Not much of anything.
