Hurricane Carlotta Heads for Mexico Coast

Hurricane Carlotta is now a Category 1 storm, with sustained winds of 85mph. Hurricane Carlotta is expected to make landfall near Acapulco by 5am on June 16, heading northwest over the next few days.

You can see a map of Hurricane Carlotta's projected path below.

A hurricane warning is in effect for the Pacific coast of Mexico from Salina Cruz to Acapulco.

A hurricane watch is in effect for the Pacific coast of Mexico east of Salina Cruz to Barra de Tonala; and west of Acapulco to Tecpan de Galleana.
