The NOAA downgraded Hurricane Danielle to a Category 1 storm as its winds slowed to 80 miles per hour. Hurricane Danielle is headed northwest, and, if the storm continues on its current path, is projected to pass Bermuda on the east. It is possible that Danielle could gain in strength during the next two days.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect for Hurricane Danielle as of August 24.
