Hurricane Eugene Forms South of Baja

Hurricane Eugene has formed in the Pacific, south of the tip of Baja California. Eugene has sustained winds of 75mph.

Currently a Category One storm, Eugene is expected to strengthen over the next 48 hours. So far, no watches or warnings are in effect in Mexico or California: the storm is roughly 400 miles from shore. Eugene's projected path takes it northwest.
