Hurricane Igor: Sustained Winds of 150mph

Hurricane Igor is remaining a Category 4 storm as it moves westward across the Atlantic. Hurricane-force winds extend 45 miles from Igor's center, but so far the storm poses no immediate threat to land, and no coastal watches or warnings are in effect. The National Weather Service has Hurricane Igor updates as they come. Hurricane Igor is projected to move west-northwest late on September 13.

SOME FLUCTUATIONS IN INTENSITY ARE LIKELY DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS...AND IGOR IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN A POWERFUL HURRICANE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
