Hurricane Isaac is hitting the Gulf Coast as a Category 1 storm, carrying 80mph winds. Heavy storm surges are hitting the coast. Power outages and flooding have already been reported. In one case, Hurricane Isaac's floodwater prevented firefighters from saving a burning house.
