Tropical Storm Isaac reached hurricane strength on August 28. On Wednesday August 29, Hurricane Isaac hits south-east Louisiana as a category 1 storm, with top wind speeds of 80 miles per hour on Tuesday. Authorities warned that the slow-moving storm could hit inland areas as well as coastlines. Wind and rain beat down on New Orleans seven years, almost to the day, after Katrina hit.
