Hurricane Jimena has grown into a Category 4 storm. Hurricane Jimena is currently headed toward Baja California, and is expected to sweep up the narrow peninsula from the south. Tourist destinations such as Cabo San Lucas are right in Hurricane Jimena's path, and locals are stocking up on food and water.

Hurricane Jimena is expected to make landfall within 24 hours.

The massive hurricane Jimena has sustained wind speeds of 145 mph.

Meanwhile talk of "Hurricane Erika" is already spreading, though that weather system has yet to solidify into a tropical storm. That system is expected, though, to become Tropical Storm Erika.

The National Hurricane Center predicts a high likelihood that this will develop into a tropical storm in the coming days.
