If You Buy Chinese Made Goods Read This

I've just finished reading The China Price The True Cost of Chinese Competitive Advantage  by Alexandra Harney, Penguin Press New York 2008.  It should be read by anyone who buys Chinese made products.  That would be all of us.  The book carefully and with an extensive bibliography, takes us through some of the manufacturing processes that allow our stores to fill with cheap items.

The author documents  damage done to the Chinese people during this current great leap forward -- industrial diseases, environmental degradation and points out that we are complicent in this process by our demanding ever more cheap goods.

Barbara, I'd love to give this a GS flag. Could you label it as Opinion? Also, add a link to some Chinese goods coverage news. That would help a great deal to frame it and put it in context.
