Waste Pond spill near Kingston Steam Plant. I had to park and walk to get to this location and shoot. As we were leaving, I noticed more people coming to look, but also the TVA guy coming, apparently to run everyone off so they don't take photos like these and post them on the internet.

This is a big mess and we are very fortunate that no one was killed by this large volume of ash sludge. There used to be a creek flowing through this area, now there is only a bunch of thick, grey slurry. Here's a couple of related articles:
