Incredible Kite Surfer Video: Pier Jump in Tropical Storm Debby

This Redington Beach kitesurfer is "obviously a professional" ... or crazy as everyone else get out.

Jay Gartner recorded the waves near St. Petersburg and a nearby pier as Tropical Storm Debby whipped winds across Florida this weekend. Then a kitesurfer enters the picture.

At first the kitesurfer appears to be fighting the winds to keep from smashing into the pier, when he or she reverses course, builds up some speed and then LEAPS OVER the pier.

We suspect the kitesurfer's probably made it to Cuba by now.
