International Day of Climate Change Event Photos and Videos
Today October 24th is the International Day of Climate Change with events planned across the world to take part in the global day of action that is designed to bring awareness to climate change and to encourage leaders to take action against climate change.
Canada has the largest number of events with the United States holding the second most events. They are organized by www.350.org who are dedicated to reducing the amout of carbon dioxide in the air to 350 parts per million. It is currently at 383 parts per million.
This is all happening ahead of the December meeing in Copenhagen where world leaders will discuss climate change.
Sharon Howarth, an environmental activist said:
"This international day is to send a message to the international leaders to get a strong targ at Copenhagen,"
