Isaac hits Gulf coast
Tropical Storm Isaac has entered the Gulf of Mexico and the outer bands of Tropical Storm Isaac has begun to make land fall on the Panama City Florida, Gulf Shores Alabama, and Dauphin Island Alabama with winds up to 65mph and higher it is forecasted that Tropical Storm Isaac could increase in strength to a Category 1 hurricane as it makes its way toward New Orleans and Louisiana.
According to local news sources in Mobile Alabama Tropical Storm Isaac is scheduled to make landfall as a category 1 hurricane on the New Orleans and Louisiana coast line about midnight Tuesday August 28, 2012.
In west Mobile Alabama by the Mobile Regional Airport around 9:00am Tuesday morning Tropical Storm Isaac is blowing intermitting wind bands and rain with gusting to around 35mph.
As of noon on Tuesday August 28, 2012 Tropical Storm Isaac was upgraded to a category 1 hurricane for all of Mobile County and the surrounding Gulf Coast areas to include New Orleans and Louisiana.
All emergency response agencies are under alert including the Alabama National Guard.
