6.0-Magnitude Earthquake between Jamaica and Cuba
An earthquake measuring 6.0 in magnitude struck the Caribbean between Jamaica and Cuba on September 15, 2011 at 8:43am local time.
The epicenter of the quake was 75 miles north of Montego Bay.
Earthquakes Hit Japan, New Zealand
A 6.2-magnitude quake also hit Japan, and a 6.0-magnitude quake hit in the Pacific near Tonga and New Zealand: both earthquakes occurred within an hour before the Jamaica quake.
None of the quakes have triggered Tsunami Warnings. No major damage or injuries have been reported in relation to these three earthquakes.
