Jusuf Kalla assists disaster victims in C Java

The natural disasters -- landslides, floods and whirlwind -- in Central Java`s districts of Karanganyar, Wonogiri, Grobogan, Pekalongan, Sragen, Solo and Banyumas have reportedly killed 91 people.
According to Firman, the assistance showed the Golkar Party general chairman`s concern over the victims of the recent natural disasters in Central Java.
He pointed out that the patry`s general chairman provided Rp50 million worth of assistance to Karanganyar, Rp25 million to Wonogiri, Rp25 million to Pekalongan, Rp25 million to Grobogan, Rp25 million to Solo and Rp25 million to Banyumas.
Firman said the relief assistance was given during the emergency period while the one for recovery process would be considered later.
"Bapak (Mr) Jusuf Kalla is calling on all the elements of Golkar Party`s regional chapters to take part in the process of searching for, handling and evacuating the natural disaster victims in the six districts," he said.
