Being in Rwanda, one cannot pass up to opportunity to go and see the last Mountain Gorilla's in the world. Native only to Rwanda, Uganda and Congo this is one of the only places where you can see them.
In the morning trackers go up to find the 5 groups that are living on the Mountain side in Rwanda. Due to the fact that they are living free, it can take between 1 and 6 hours to get to a group.
We visited a group of 9 gorilla's for which we had to climb (not walk... really climb) for 2,5 hours to get close to them. But to actually see them we had to go down to mountain for somewhat like 50 meters again... and I can tell you, that was not easy. You should not be afraid of heights when doing this trip because we actually had drops of near to 90 degrees ....
But it was worth every drop of sweat and muscle ache.
