8-Year-Old Kenny Markiewicz Swept Through Duluth, Minnesota Storm Drain During Flood

Kenny Markiewicz, an eight-year-old boy from Louisiana, was on a family trip to visit relatives in Proctor, Minnesota, a suburb of Duluth; when he got a close encounter with the intense flooding that swamped the area.

While splashing in the puddles, Kenny Markiewicz seemed to disappear.

In actuality, he fell into a submerged culvert, and was carried roughly six blocks underground through Proctor's storm drains. Kenny popped up in a creek in the next neighborhood. He suffered only minor injures, and will probably find water slides to be very boring from now on.
