Kirksville Missouri tornado kills one and damages homes

Kirksville Missouri has been hit by a tornado, and one person has been killed while dozens of homes have been damaged and some people are still trapped in their houses.

There are other injuries reported as well, and homes and businesses have been flattened by the severe weather.

According to reports, the Jim Robertson auto dealership in Kirksville sustained significant damage.

Power is reportedly out across significant parts of the Kirksville area.

U.S. 63 also was closed in the Kirksville area because of a gas-line leak and downed power lines.
