Question: is apathetic sentiment towards global warming one of "couldn't-care-less", or of resigned defeatism?
Switching off lights for an hour won't change the world, but the collective consciousness that Earth Hour is engendering will.

Hi Lefty - yes, I saw that. On the other hand though, there are seemingly impressive pics of NYC skyline going quite dark, including Empire State Building.

In Paris, apparently, they turned the eiffel tower on like 5 minutes later and people were speculating that it was because it's a hazard for planes. The director of the WWF was at the Eiffell Tower, though, and seemed visibly moved and had this to say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8_TywmlbBg
