Los Alamos Fire: Mandatory Evacuation as Wildfire Spreads (Video)
Los Alamos Evacuation as Las Conchas Wildfire Rages
The Las Conchas fire has prompted mandatory evacuations throughout Los Alamos, New Mexico. A state of emergency has been declared in Los Alamos due to the Las Conchas fire. Having just started on June 26, the Las Conchas fire has already consumed over 43,600 acres.
The evacuations have been organized into three groups:

Group 1: Western, Quemazon, Ponderosa

Group 2: North Community, Barranca Mesa, North Mesa
- Group 3: East of Diamond and the rest of the town site
White Rock is not being evacuated at the moment, but should not be a destination for any of the evacuation groups. If you live in Los Alamos, you will have to evacuate your neighborhood when you get a reverse 911 call.
The Los Alamos National Laboratory is directly threatened by the Las Conchas fire. So far, over 30 homes and other buildings have been destroyed by the wildfire.
