Los Angeles Rain flood

The National Weather Service issued Los Angeles a tornado warning today. Heavy rain has been falling across Los Angeles, and winds reached up to 72 miles per hour in Newport Beach. The tornado warning was extended to Orange County, but has since been cancelled. Beaches and piers are closed as swells get stronger: tomorrow or Thursday could see waves up to 25 feet high. LA is also bracing for mudslides as stormy weather persists. The coastal areas affected include Long Beach, Sunset Beach, Huntington Beach and Seal Beach.

Flood Advisory for LA County

Huntington Beach lifeguards said no waterspouts—or offshore tornadoes—have been spotted. The beaches were mostly empty while waves surged, lightning struck and wind reached gusts of 52 miles per hour, said Huntington Beach Marine Safety Lt. Mike Beuerlein.
The worst of the storm system is meant to hit Thursday or Friday
