24th February 2009, Comet Lulin is the closest to Earth and sufficiently high in the sky for a good photo. It confirms the colour of the photo taken 2 days ago.
Look for the faint jets emitted forward (right) by the comet head
45 shots of 120s exposure each (15 in L, 10 in each RGB colour) taken between 0:32 am and 2:09 am local western European time.
Comet tracking rates both in RA and DEC (G11 mount)
STL 11km and 127mm APOT, F/D=7.5
Stacking using median to avoid the star trails. The star field at 0:32 am has been added after processing. No photoshop processing!
