Major Magnitude 7.0 Earthquake VANUATU 09/09/08

The 7 magnitude earthquake is the second strong earthquake in the last 24 hours in this area, there was a 6.2 magnitude one about 16 hours before this one.

A STRONG 6.9 magnitude undersea quake struck off the South Pacific island of Vanuatu early today but seismologists said no tsunami was generated and there were no immediate reports of damage.

I can't see any news reports about the 7 magnitude quake yet, there are only a few about the earlier 6.2 one, but will keep looking and would be glad of any help on this one.
