Neil Patrick Harris Reveals His Patriot Act

Mars is giving away 250,000 coupons for a free Mars chocolate product every Friday until September 25 in a project called the Mars Real Chocolate Relief Act. The initiative aims to ‘Spread Joy Across America’ according to its press release:

Now through September, Mars will give away as many as seven million full-size packages of its M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, MILKY WAY®, TWIX®, DOVE®, and 3 MUSKETEERS® brand chocolate in the United States.

The promotional offer was launched in New York City’s Time Square where actor Neil Patrick Harris handed out possibly hundreds of chocolate bars to passers by. Harris also appeared on Fox News to promote the company’s offer.

The company will distribute 7 million free chocolate bars over the summer. Coupons for one piece of free candy will be mailed to customers that provide their information on the Real Chocolate website. Fortunately or unfortunately, Free Chocolate Fridays will not result in a chocolatey bonanza for anyone, as there is a limit of 4 coupons per household and one coupon per person per week.

Great. The company has also been handing out M&M's around Times Square and West 34th Street.
