The photo was taken by Beatrice Leung (Friend of Stave Hill Ecology Park) during the "Stave Hill Volunteers Day" on 15 March 2008 (Saturday) when the main goal of the day was to narrow a chalk stream to speed up the flow of natural water extracted from underground by the "Stave Hill Wind Pump" that was built with Southwark Council's "Cleaner Greener Safer Fund".
