A Meteor Shower Was Sighted Over Wisconsin and Iowa on April 14

People in Wisconsin and Iowa could not believe it on Wednesday night as the light sky was briefly lit up by a meteor shower that streaked across the sky. According to the National Weather Service, the shower started at about 10 pm local time and was located about 24,000 feet above Earth.

Along with Wisconsin and Iowa, it could also be seen in Missouri and Illinois.

North of the Quad Cities, Sheets says there were reports the meteor caused sonic booms that shook houses near Highway 20.

According to the National Weather Service, it disintegrated as it reached the southwest area of Wisconsin, but it did not cause any damage thankfully.

Some witnesses described it as a 'fireball' lighting up the sky and others at first thought it could be a UFO. Some described the shower as a 'yellowish blue' fireball and remarked that it was truly a sight to behold.

No aircraft reported any trouble due to the meteor shower, but the emergency response units reported a large volume of calls just after the shower started however they assured residents that everything was ok.

Meteor showers are not uncommon and can strike Earth at about once a year, however this one also provided an amazing natural light show.

The video below was caught from a sheriff deputy's dash cam and is one of the best witness videos of the Meteor sighted over Iowa.

Meteor showers are cool -- as long as the rocks burn up before they hit.

As a freelance reporting investigator, there are too many inconsistencies in this Wisconsin "Meteor" story by the clever media reporters.   Like so, the obvious red flags are spectacular and the possibilities that this could be an alien spacecraft crash of a UFO is more than likely! Tune in...If you know the basic scientific components of a "meteorite" you will surely know that this is certainly not one of them!   Interestingly, the official police video has authenticated a legitimate visual confirmation of such OVNI encounter and this indisputable evidence is clearly demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt. Even Astronomers, Skeptics and NASA will have to agree of its true contents which is compounded with a mirage of multiple reliable witnesses of the unexplainable occurrence!   Notice how come the assortment of news media has failed to report live footage from the crash site? What does that tell us? Perhaps another conspiracy theory  by the FBI, CIA,  NSA and SETI. No doubt that ufologist are going to have a field day with this bizarre development from outer space!   We must stop the denial and admit that there is a strong possibility of intergalaxtic extraterrestrial life in our marvelous and infinite universe!

I've been a resident of this area for quite some time now.  Your assertion that the media reporters in this area are clever is totally baseless.

I agree, show us the crash site.  There's no way they didn't rush out to wherever it was the instant it touched down just to make sure there were no fires, people harmed, or anything else normal to worry about, let alone paranormal.

@Charles Del Campo, I agree with your analogy on the meteorite 100%.  I was sitting with friends out by a bon fire that eveniong when I was the first of the group to see the so-called meteor. Firstly, it was bright white not orange, red, blue or any other color....That is the first thing that struck me as strange. I was also quite surprised about not hearing of any media search or coverage of a location that somebody must have been able to find on that beautuful spring evening. Indeed, something seems amiss here.....

They will not tell you what happened that night, they will not tell you the truth. Do not be afraid. We are here now. They cannot stop us and we mean you no harm. We will only speak to those who can listen now. Open your eyes to what the world is saying to you in this time of tragedy. It is time to go home. BELIEVE

I live in Livingston, WI. where the first piece of the "meteor" was found. Also the school my son goes to had a little boy find a piece. whatever it is, it has broken up into alot of smaller pieces (not all of it obviously) and they are being found between Praire Du Chien all the way to Dubuque IA. This is absolutely insane. I was driving home from work when me and my fiance saw it. I know where part of it hit but that area has not been populated by searchers. the part me and my fiance saw must have been a piece that broke off from the larger, because as it crossed the path of my car we saw orangish white fireball with blue and silver sparks coming off of it. sounds like a wierd meteor to me. anyway....it was awesome.

Charles Del Campo, thank you for acknowledging the existence of my race. For that I will spare your life when my army invades your puny planet. As for the rest of you, prepare to face doom as we blast you with our Pookie Rays. I assure you the pain is extreme. My fellow comrade perished in this terrible incident praise Klintok that his essence will rise. I told him to laim for the Hudson River but it was not his fate. Doom will come to all of you, except forĀ Charles Del Campo.

I to agree with you, it all adds up from the media to the color it makes no sense. I do believe in UFOs as i have seen one in Las Vegas last may above the luxor hotel. it vanished 30 minutes later, Army jets flew over the area and the Luxor light that never goes off, turned off once it was gone. i have a picture of it. The government is a complete conspiracy when it comes to these type of situations.

Hi, I read your article, very interesting, can you share your UFO photo? I will reciprocate with an official one from SETI which never got released to the media. Best, Charles Del Campo Paranormalpsy@aol.com

One thing i've learned about the media is to never trust it and take everything you see and hear with a grain of salt because although Phil Schneider's take on UFOs and aliens remains to be skeptical, he always said to go with your gut and read between the lines.

This was a meteor not a crashing UFO with Space Aliens in it. Have fun with your conspiracy, but the rational people will accept the fact that this was a meteor and it may not have even hit Earth. Go find the Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy.......
