Recent shark attacks that have killed two people are the first off Mexico's Pacific Coast in 30 years. The Mexican Navy has launched an offensive against the killer shark--or sharks.

The Mexican Navy is searching for sharks near Pacific surfing beaches after two people were killed and another maimed in a series of attacks.

Thanks, Big T! I guess this is also no time to re-shoot "The Old Man and the Sea."

Hello PEP,

The Mexican government should put bounties on the sharks allowing the civilian population to participate and earn some extra cash.  That would definitely be front page material, but I still like this story.

It's good stuff

That is a very good idea, nukemdomis. They could specify the size and type of shark, too, to forestall both automatic protests from some groups and also just the killing of any type of shark. Thanks for the flag!
