Charges could be laid against the millionaire and his staff, when kangaroos chased off millionaire's property caused the animals crashed into fences and get caught in electric wire.

Dozens of men on quad bikes and others waving sticks tried to herd about 20 kangaroos off the Macedon property.

The panicked animals crashed into fences and got caught on wiring, many tripping over as they fled in all directions.

Six large roos driven through an open gate and on to a road took off up a crest - potentially into the path of traffic.

The attempted eviction followed an undertaking to the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment heads that no action would be taken to move the eastern grey kangaroos before a meeting with the department next Monday.
