Residents of Minot, North Dakota are bracing for record-breaking floods. The Souris River is already at the Moderate Flood Stage, and is expected to cross into the Major Flood Stage before the end of the day on June 21, with the high water flooding parts of the city by June 22.

The flooding is expected swamp 12,000 people, which is around 1/3 or Minot's population. Mandatory evacuation has been ordered for those who live in the zones marked in red below. Those affected by the Minot evacuation order must leave their homes by 10pm on June 22.
