Mount Baker 10,778 feet (3,285 meters) Type: Strata-Volcano: However, its Native name is “KULSHAN.”
Lieutenant Joseph Baker, Vancouver’s valiant officer, sighted the snowy eminence from out at sea on April 30, 1792. The expedition's Captain ultimately named it in his honor as Mount Baker.
The perfect ending of a great day was seeing the majestic Mount Baker in my mirrors and knowing that I will be back soon.
