The two 56-year old men that failed to return on schedule Thursday night after a snowmobile ride are now safe and sound. They made it back to Labrador City on their own while searchers were forced to wait out some stormy weather and slob ice conditions before starting a search. Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Constable Karen Hemmens says the pair camped for the night in the Bruce Lake area about 40 kilometres north of the city. She says as the temperature dropped yesterday, it thickened the slob ice allowing the men to cross on their snowmobiles.
