MN Appliance Rebate Program: Fill Out Rebate Forms on Website
The MN appliance rebate Program starts today on March 1st, 2010. The Minnesota appliance rebate program allows Minnesota residents to receive a rebate for purchasing qualified ENERGY STAR products.
The eligible ENERGY STAR products for the MN appliance rebate program are clothes washer, dishwasher, freezer, and refrigerator. Residents are limited to one rebate every household.
The MN appliance rebate program website may be difficult to access now because of the high volume of traffic it is experiencing. The rebate program will end as soon as the funds are exhausted.
Minnesota Appliance Rebate Forms and Rebate Values:
- clothes washers ($200)
- dishwashers ($150)
- freezers ($100 with purchase and proof that their old unit has been taken off the grid; $50 for purchase only)
- refrigerators ($200 with purchase and proof that their old unit has been off the grid; $100 for purchase only)
The MN appliance rebate program was established to increase the incentive for consumers to purchase efficient appliances that will eventually pay for themselves.
The Trade-in & Save Appliance Rebate Program, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, is expected to save more than 2.2 million kilowatt hours in energy, almost 44 million gallons of water and more than 4.7 million pounds of carbon annually.
